Third Realm’s Harbor Seal model is approxamatly 5 feet in long covered in tan fake fur with dark spots, flippers and big brown glass eyes. Each model comes with a wooden stand for display, a heavy duty case for secure transportation and, along one side a heavy duty zipper which opens to reveal soft sculpture “guts”. The model is female which gives you female reproductive organs and a baby seal you can show being born, also lungs, heart, stomach with “food” (rubber fish), intestines and other associated organs.
Harbor seals, Phoca vitulina, are also called Common Seals or Spotted Seals. They are members of the family of true or earless seals. Harbor seals have a smooth head, fat muzzle, heavy whiskers and large brown eyes. They are know for their irregular brown spots on a tan to brown base colored fur. The males can grow up to 6 feet in length and females are always smaller. Harbor seals are often spotted when they are hauled out on rocks lat low tide. They feed on fish and squid.
